This place is a hidden gem! Absolutely amazing atmosphere! Southwest Americana beautifully and elegantly blended with art deco style. The lighting, the finishes, the decor and artwork, the beautiful oak paneling: It’s amazing what they have done with this space, I was blown away by the transformation from previous restaurants at this location. Now the food… the FOOD! ""Wagu raised by the owner himself. The care and passion he shows for his craft is inspiring. I am not joking around, I cut my Wagu steak with my fork so easily. Melt in your mouth delicious, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I will be dreaming about this meal until I can have it again. The bread they brought out was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen and the herb butter was to die for. Every bite I had of my entire meal was perfection. The dirty rice and the house made chips are absolutely delicious. I have no idea how they got the chips so light and crispy. Over eating definitely took place here. This place has the total package: beautiful dinning room, incredible wait staff, and the food: chef’s kiss! We had a chance to meet the owner and talk with him and our waiter, the story of this restaurant coming to fruition is so amazing, you can feel the passion this man has for what he’s doing. And our waiter was attentive and the conversation was charming and such a fun and entertaining evening. We got a chance to look at the private dining room and already have plans to return and even have business meetings here. This place is perfect. They have ruined all other steaks for me, and the flounder was by far the best flounder I have ever had. And the desserts (salivating just recalling this meal) we had the berry panna cotta and the apple rose tarts. Delicious doesn’t adequately describe the flavors. No kidding, every bite of everything we had was culinary perfection. Thank you Kobe Club Steakhouse for an amazing evening! We will be back again and again. I wish I had taken pictures of my meal, but I was too busy enjoying it.

Very fine dining atmosphere. Select menu offerings. Had the bone-in ribeye, available butchers cut. I’ve dined often at upscale restaurants including Miami, Chicago, New Orleans, Dallas, and Las Vegas, enjoying ribeye steaks. Kobe Club Steakhouse ranks high. Combined with the setting, I consider it Springfield’s best restaurant.

My husband took me to Kobe Club for my mother's day dinner - I got the A5 filet and it was the absolute best steak l've ever had.
We also had the shrimp cocktail, and salad & loaded potatos that were fantastic. But guys.... the handmade bread was 100% perfect. :) we will go back. Absolutely perfect food.

Introducing Will’s Chophouse, formerly Kobe Club Steakhouse. Set in a 1920’s Art Deco Speakeasy dining room where you can enjoy great steaks, seafood, lamb and some of the best wine and cocktails in Springfield. We should be called a Magic Time Machine!
Fine dining that is not meant to break the bank. From Prime Rib starting at $32 to a French Chicken dish at just $21. Up to some of the finest steaks in North America including Fullblood Wagyu and even A5 from Japan. Seafood from the Gulf that will make you feel like you are sitting on the pier in Aransas Pass, Texas.
Many that have come to our restaurant say we take them back to the days of the great Shady Inn.
Our seafood includes our take on Pappadeaux Flounder Opelousas and even our version of Fried Shrimp recipe from Riviera, Texas. We have brought the coast to you here in Springfield. Our salad house dressing is a Walnut Dressing recipe from the famed Water Street Oyster Bar in Corpus Christi. You will be surprised that we are not only a great steakhouse. That is why we are called a Chophouse!
Thus, we have something for everyone. Each dish is prepared one by one. The way it used to be done.
BUT THE STEAKS ARE OUR CLAIM TO FAME
Will and Julia has raised Wagyu since 2008. Will has been involved in the cattle industry his entire life being raised on a century ranch in South Texas. They have sold their steaks on Sirius XM for over 8 years shipping to all 50 states and Canada.
They are completely different. Think of an elevated Prime with over 30% more monounsaturated fats and more Omega 3 and 6 than fish oil. Yes, the healthiest beef anywhere. Along with that Will has developed his own house spice recipe for the steaks that you will love. Fired at 1600 degrees! We guarantee these steaks will amaze you.
